FAMILY

Are we rednecks, farmers and country boys?  No, we are mostly out-of-state, redneck-farmer-countryboy-wanna-be's who share a passion for creativity and building.  We are probably the most productive and efficient construction family you have ever met.  Following are some pictures and history for you to get to know us a little better.

The mean machine

RAFA, JASON, LAZARO,  LUIS, and GREG are project supervisors and the heart of the company.  It don't get any better folks. Their team's excellence in craftmanship and resolve makes each project a complete success in as fast a time as possible.

Rafa quality manages multiple projects making sure all jobs get done right, even if he has to do some of the work himself.   He is good at project estimating and communicates very well with all Carolina Builder's customers.  Rafa has been with the company 9 years and is a very productive individual.

Jason is a very valuable part of the company's project management team and has been with the company over 6 years.  We don't think there is any end to his attention to detail which always results in the success of every project he works on.

Lazaro has been with the company 9 years and has developed a very valuable ability to problem solve and manage in the construction process.  It is amazing and somewhat entertaining just to watch Laz and his crew work.

Luis has been with the Company 11 years, and like Lazaro, it is pure enjoyment to watch his and his crew's productivity as they build.  He is good natured, communicates well, and all our customers like him leading their projects.  Luis' abilities cover all aspects of building a new house, from ground to owner move in.

Greg has recently joined our management team with years of experience in the construction industry.  He owned his own construction company in central Florida.  He and his wife Tonya have always wanted to live here in the mountains, and finally decided to pull the plug on the large population rat race.

Tami is part of the glue for Carolina Builder and keeps things moving at a steady pace with her organization, desire for standard procedure and her smile even as she is delivering a stern "no, Bret is busy"  Tami is the mother of two autistic boys and very creative with interior design.

Dan and Ian are head of the company's in-house electrical department with over 30 years experience.  Dan holds a Master Electrician licence and makes sure all is done right. (Typical German)  Dan is the father of 6 children and getting old like Bret's dad.

Dennie is the tree the apple fell off of.  Presently helping with customer service, he is degreed in business and computer science.  After working in the computer industry for 35 years, he moved to Franklin to "get back to basics", milking Jersey cows for 20 years.  He and his wife Diane have been married 47 years.

Bret discovered his passion for construction somewhere around  the age of 7 with his first lego kit.  Though other interests fed his love to create like studying music all through the schooling years, he found he could completely express his creativity by building homes.  Bret is the father of 3 children, president of Carolina Builder and doesn't know when to quit working and stop to smell the roses.
